VP Sales & Marketing

Join Kongsberg Geospatial as our VP, Sales &Marketing

At Kongsberg Geospatial, we develop mission-critical geospatial technology that people depend on when lives are on the line.

As we continue our rapid growth and expansion into new markets, we’re looking for a VP, Sales& Marketing to join our leadership team, drive our sales strategy, develop high-impact marketing campaigns, and lead a dynamic team across multiple business areas.

One of those business areas is Canada's Defense& Aerospace market, where we are the prime contractor for the world's largest digital air traffic control tower program...the first of what we expect to be many wins where we collaborate with our parent company in Norway to bring world class solutions to Canada. More on that later...

If you’re a sales leader who can run with bold new ideas and push boundaries, this is where YOU come in.

Why You’ll Love Coming to Work:

Your impact will go far beyond building a pipeline and closing deals—you’ll be the driving force behind leading, developing, and empowering our team. You’ll guide our team of business development and marketing professionals while working closely with our Solutions Engineering and Product Management teams, ensuring they have the direction, resources, and support to excel. Success here comes from balancing strategy with execution, knowing when to dive into the details and when to step back and let the team take ownership.

In addition to the international market for Kongsberg Geospatial’s products, you will collaborate with our parent company in Norway to bring their world-class solutions to Canada.

To do this, your time will be spread across four key business areas, each with its own challenges and opportunities.

  1. Our core legacy business, TerraLens SDK (Software Development Kit), involves international sales and long cycles that demand patience and precision.
  2. Our software development work for our parent company requires alignment with global priorities.
  3. Our commercial UAS business is an active, fast-growing market where we’re investing heavily, exploring acquisitions, and defining our future.
  4. And in Canada’s defense sector, we’re not just bidding on contracts—we’re working to establish Kongsberg as a key supplier to the Canadian government across land, sea, air, and space.

But this role isn’t just about managing a traditional sales cycles—it’s about rethinking how we drive growth in a digital-first world. We know that the future of sales and marketing isn’t static. You won’t just track leads, rather you’ll optimize how we find them, engage them, and convert them into lasting partnerships.

As you can see, there’s no shortage of things to do. The team is pulled in many directions. From navigating an intense tradeshow season to managing a rapidly evolving market, you’ll be stepping in at full speed, leading through the chaos, and setting a vision for the future.

A Look at Your First 90 Days:

Your first month will be about getting up to speed—meeting the Sales & Marketing team, workingclosely with the Executive team, understanding the processes, and evaluating where things stand.

By sixty days in, you’ll be leading the sales process transformation project in partnership with The Sales Collective, bringing structure to onboarding and resetting key initiatives that need momentum.

At the ninety-day mark, you’ll have established clear KPIs and objectives for the team, setting the stage for 2026 budget planning. This is your chance to lay the foundation for long-term success, ensuring that growth isn’t just happening—it’s happening in the right direction.

Fast forward a year, and your impact will be undeniable. Part of a high-performance Executive team.  Leading a stronger, more confident Sales& Marketing team. Refined compensation plans and pricing strategies. A growing pipeline filled with the right opportunities. A leadership culture that sets the tone for high performance across the organization. A shared vision, owned by every member of the team, that defines where we’re going and how we’ll get there.

Someone whounderstands software sales, whether in a perpetual license or SaaS environment, and knows how to lead a team to perform at its highest level.  You know how to blend the analytical with thecreative, turning insight into strategy and strategy into results.

A deep understanding ofthe Canadian Defense Market and experience in the Commercial UAS space is amajor advantage. You’ll be speaking to experts in their field, people who cantell in an instant if you know what you’re talking about. You don’t have to bethe deepest subject matter expert in every area—we have those people on theteam—but you need to speak credibly and connect the dots between technology, strategy, and market opportunity.
