Systems for Flight Operations, and Airspace Management

Kongsberg Geospatial has leveraged airspace visualization technology they originally developed for air defense systems to pioneer powerful new solutions for civilian UAS applications. These include IRIS UxS™ - an airspace situational awareness system for BVLOS flight operations, both for individual aircraft and for fleet operations with multiple semi-autonomous aircraft; and IRIS AM™ - a Airspace Management system developed for counter-UAS applications and for monitoring and managing protected airspaces.

Our airspace visualization and BVLOS technology has been deployed in ground control stations for UAS worldwide, and is also widely used for counter-UAS and UTM systems.

BVLOS Missions

Kongsberg Geospatial specializes in visualizing airspaces in real-time for BVLOS flight control. Our IRIS UxS™ system provides Beyond Line-of-Sight flight capabilities for applications like pipeline and power line infrastructure inspection.

Fleet Operations

IRIS UxS™ provides a single, comprehensive real-time picture of the terrain, airspace and all aircraft within a theatre of operations, allowing operators to manage and operate multiple aircraft from a single operator station. IRIS provides the airspace picture for fleet operators in applications like drone delivery.
