Flirtey implements Kongsberg Geospatial IRIS Airspace Awareness technology to enable FAA Certification for BVLOS drone delivery operations

Ottawa, CA:Kongsberg Geospatial, developer of the TerraLens Geospatial Soft Ware Development Kit (SDK), and Flirtey, the pioneer and a leader in the commercial drone delivery industry in the US, announced today that the Kongsberg Geospatial IRIS airspace situational awareness application has been implemented by Flirtey within their autonomous software platform that conducts BVLOS autonomous flight operations. Flirtey has conducted more than 6,000 flights to date.

Kongsberg Geospatial and FAA ASSURE UAS Centre of Excellence team members partner for operational trials of Detect and Avoid and Beyond Visual Line of Sight display software

Ottawa, CA:Kongsberg Geospatial, an Ottawa-based developer of real-time, mission critical, geospatial and mapping software, and the Federal Aviation Administration’s ASSURE UAS Center of Excellence, lead by Mississippi State University, announced today that the Alaska Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration (ACUASI) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and the University of North Dakota Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Research, Education and Training will both be adopting and integrating the Kongsberg Geospatial IRIS UAS display application into their flight operations as part of Detect And Avoid (DAA) and beyond visual line-of-sight (BVLOS) operations.
